A man with a golden heart, Yap Yeen Min is the founder and chairman of the Johor Bahru Old Chinese Temple Foundation located in the heart of Johor Bahru city. Through the foundation, he helps lower-income families with medical support and food. He often finances the education of children from these families too.
Yap Yeen Min contributes his time and energy to organising charitable activities and is also active in organising cultural events that can enhance and further educate the local Chinese community.
Besides being concerned with the welfare of the lower-income groups, Yap also takes time to advise the youth he meets. He is known for helping young entrepreneurs with their business concerns or ideas by providing them with his wisdom, through sharing his experiences, or sometimes with financial assistance.
